POSITION TITLE: LABORER GOLF

SERIES AND PAY BAND/LEVEL:  NA-3502-02

SALARY:  $8.02 HOURLY

EMPLOYMENT CATEGORY:  FLEXIBLE (0 – 40 HOURS A WEEK, VARIOUS SHIFTS *INCLUDING WEEKENDS)

LOCATION: MWR COMMUNITY RECREATION NAS MERIDIAN

AREA OF CONSIDERATION:  WORLDWIDE – ALL AREAS

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Perform laboring related duties at the golf course and its facilities to keep area and golf carts neat and clean.  Pick up golf balls, haul trash, use tools such as rakes and brooms, and run hand lawnmowers or domestic type powered lawnmowers.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  (1) Age 16 or older; (2) manual skill in using hand tools and small gas or electric equipment;  (3) ability to follow written and/or oral instructions, directives and work schedules; (4) valid drivers license and (5) must meet OPNAVINST 100.23E special hazard precautions requiring no visual impairment of either eye.

 

OTHER INFORMATION

Some positions have special requirements. Selection may be tentative pending the completion of the satisfactory employment reference checks and receipt of proof of education (where applicable). Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period. Participation in the Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer within the first 30 days of employment is required. We utilize E-Verify to confirm selectee’s eligibility to work in the United States. Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.

 

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED

SPOUSAL PREFERENCE

The time period of eligibility for spousal preference begins 30 days before the military member's reporting date at a new duty station outside of the current duty station's commuting area and applies without time restriction except that spouses seeking preference with less than six months time remaining in the area may be non-selected.  Spousal Preference forms are located in the MWR Personnel Office Building 255, Suite 238. You MUST attach spouse preference application. Attached a copy of spouse’s PCS orders and copy of marriage license/certificate.

A flex employee is one who serves in either a continuing or temporary (time limited) position, on a scheduled or unscheduled (as needed or intermittent) basis, up to 40 hours per week.
